Our marketers were tasked with identifying the main trends in the mobile app market
for iOS devices.
The result was the understanding that the share of App Store mobile applications in the Medicine category
over the year (from March 2015 to March 2016) decreased from 2.1% to 1.9% and now Medicine occupies the penultimate
place, ahead only of the Navigation category, in the ranking of the most popular mobile app categories
in the AppStore.
The analysis showed that the key consumer of mobile applications in the Medicine category are female users.
It was logical to assume that, despite the decrease in the market share of mobile applications in the Medicine category, the demand for this category of mobile applications did not change significantly.
After analyzing the TOP-50 applications in the Medicine category, we concluded that the pregnancy topic is the most popular in this category among iOS device users.
Having decided on the application theme,
we proceed to design.
In parallel with design, we begin developing the logo and application style.
Based on the theme, it was decided to focus on soft colors and unique illustrations for each test item.
Illustrations are ready — adapting them to the application design.
We transfer the static prototype together with the transition map and design mockups of mobile application screens to our developers.
After a few days, we receive the first build for testing, make additions and prepare for release in the AppStore.
The final stage of our work was the promotion phase
of the application in the AppStore and summing up the results
of the assigned tasks.
